Leadership Development
ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership are two organizations linked together by a common belief and a common passion. We believe associations have the power to transform society for the better. Our passion is to help association professionals achieve previously unimaginable levels of performance. The Courageous Leadership Consortium provides innovative resources for the development of women leaders. They carefully select programs that utilize essential development components, spotlight people, organizations, events and resources, and conncet leadership development professionals to one another.
The Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) is an economic development corporation providing quality business education, technical assistance and access to capital for entrepreneurs. Established in 1989, WWBIC consults, educates and mentors owners of small and micro businesses throughout Wisconsin. We concentrate our efforts with women, people of color and those of lower incomes.
The Berkana Institute connects and supports pioneering, life-affirming leaders around the world who strengthen their communities by working with the wisdom and wealth already present in its people, traditions and environment. We define a leader as anyone who wants to help, who is willing to step forward to create change in their world. The Berkana Institute serves people globally who are giving birth to the new forms, processes and leadership that will restore hope to the future.
4th Street Forum is a nonpartisan program, which promotes public discussion of political and social issues that are of concern to our community. Each week, a panel of experts presents their views on a chosen topic and explores solutions with the audience and the 4th Street Forum moderator.
FUEL Milwaukee, the region’s talent network, is an economic development initiative of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) and has a membership comprised of growth-oriented individuals and employers throughout the 7-county Milwaukee region. The MMAC is working to strengthen the region’s business base, to attract and retain jobs and the talent to fill them.
LEADERSHIP WISCONSIN is Wisconsin’s premier leadership development program with a national reputation for producing highly effective leaders. Leadership Wisconsin trains visionary, yet pragmatic leaders who are bound by public need & not political favors; that are capable & willing to work at shaping our future with a broad perspective on the issues.
Formed in 2002, Milwaukee Women inc (MWi) is a collaborative effort of executive and professional women working to change the face and quality of leadership through the advancement of women. The MWi Steering Committee is composed of representatives from Milwaukee’s leading women’s professional organizations, corporations, non-profit organizations and academic institutions. The Mount Mary College Women’s Leadership Institute provides for the holistic development of women as leaders in their profession, faith community and community at large. Recognized for its emphasis on leadership development, Mount Mary College, through the Women’s Leadership Institute brings that expertise to a broader audience. The Institute, in collaboration with women leaders in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin, seeks to provide programs, resources and mentoring for women in the greater Milwaukee area.

The Candidate’s Handbook is a book offered by Political Net Press. The Candidate’s Handbook delivers the plan and the map, and a good deal of detail about what to expect along the way. It set the standard for campaign books in 1981, and has been in constant demand ever since.
The Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is nationally recognized as a cutting-edge research center, the leading source of scholarly research and current data about American women’s political participation. CAWP’s education and outreach programs translate research findings into action, addressing women’s under-representation in political leadership with effective, imaginative programs serving a variety of audiences.
