Professor of economics, Zohreh Emami received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. She teaches courses on women and the economy, women and leadership, the economic environment and international economics.
She is currently Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Alverno College. She consults with colleges and universities on teaching, assessment and curriculum design. She also writes and publishes in these areas and in the discipline of economics on women and economic development and history of economics. Her book entitled Engendering Economics: Conversations with Women Economists in the United States (with Paulette Olson) was published in 2002. She has also been involved in writing on the British economist Joan Robinson’s contributions to the methodology and pedagogy of economics.
In addition to her past membership on the board of WW=P Inc., Zohreh was a member of the economic sufficiency taskforce beginning in 2003 and was a member of the original cabinet of WW=P. She has also served on the boards of Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership, International Association for Feminist Economics, and the Association for Social Economics.
