Katy Sommer is Wisconsin Women = Prosperity Board member and is WW=P

Katy Sommer is a Wisconsin Women = Prosperity board member and serves as the organization’s treasurer.
In addition to her duties at Wisconsin Women = Prosperity, Katy is also a partner of RitzHolman CPAs, a Milwaukee-based accounting firm, where she is a member of the firm’s nonprofit team. Since joining the firm in 1993 and becoming partner in 2002, she has focused on nonprofit audit and financial management.

As a parent and an active community member, Katy serves on the board of directors for Wisconsin Women=Prosperity, Milestones, Programs for Children and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network - Greater Milwaukee Chapter. She also volunteers her time to manage the intake and accounting of money for the AIDS Resource Center’s annual AIDS Walk Wisconsin. Previously, Katy served as an instructor at the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee and was involved with Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, where she shared her experiences and provided economic education to students in grades K-12.

In 2008, Katy was named among Milwaukee’s emerging generation of leaders as one of The Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40,” which recognizes people who are making a difference in their professions and communities.

She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin — La Crosse. Katy is a member of the American and Wisconsin Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
