The Nurturing Parenting Program offers Workshops
The Nurturing Parenting Programs® are family-based programs with a proven track record of preventing the recurrence of child abuse and neglect.
Departments of Social Services, Child Care Facilities, Prevention Programs of Community Services’ Boards, faith-based organizations, women centers and many other agencies/organizations committed to helping families and children in their communities have relied upon the Programs as a primary parenting program to promote healthy family life and break the cycle of child maltreatment
Participants of the 3-Day Facilitator Training will learn:
The philosophy, values, goals, structure, and validation of the Nurturing Parenting Program®.
- How the 5 Constructs are taught and understood in the Program, through activities relating to child development, personal power, alternatives to corporal punishment, and building self-esteem, self-concept and empathy in parents and children.
- A hands-on approach to Implementing and Conducting group and home based Nurturing Parenting Programs® that includes practice sessions, use of program materials, videos and assessment tools, children’s and parents’ program activities, family home practice assignments, icebreakers.
When: March 24–26, 2010
Cost: $325 per adult and $25 per child includes training materials, instruction, and snacks.
