Wisconsin Women in Goverment Graduate Seminar 2010
Wisconsin Women in Government is pleased to announce the ninth public policy Graduate Seminar offered in cooperation with the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The goal of this seminar, under the direction of Professors Dennis Dresang and Georgia Duerst-Lahti, is to give management training to women in both the public and private sector. Wisconsin Women in Government wants to help women in government acquire the skills they need to move into positions of leadership.
There are at least fifteen full scholarship places available for women currently employed in government. Five places have been set aside for other applicants, including those in the private sector, at a reduced cost of $400. The course will be offered for six weeks in January and February, 2010. The schedule is included in the attached application materials.
The Board of Wisconsin Women in Government sees this course as a means of supporting Wisconsin women who have helped make Women in Government a success. This course will benefit women and the government agencies and private sector organizations in which they work.
This graduate course is a wonderful opportunity to gain management, networking, and leadership skills in a stimulating environment.
