Journey House Seeks a Public Relations Assistant

Anticipated Start Date: November 30, 2009
Summary: The Public Relations assistant provides strategic counsel and will partner with other internal departments to drive public relations activities for the Urban Careers Institute and Journey House. This position requires experience in various aspects of public relations including strategic planning, media relations, writing and distributing media materials, event coordination, measurement and crisis communications. The Public Relations assistant will demonstrate strong communication and client management skills, posses excellent writing and editing skills, and demonstrates the ability to organize a variety of client projects and priorities. The Public Relations Assistant will work closely with and report directly to the Journey House Development Director. The Public Relations Assistant will also play a role in supporting and promoting the Urban Careers Institute, citywide Zilber Neighborhood Initiative and the Clarke Square Quality of Life Plan. In all instances the Public Relations Assistant must perform in accordance with and be committed to the Journey House mission and vision.
