Journey House Seeks a Job Coach/Financial Advisor

Summary: This position is responsible for preparing participants to be job-ready, developing financial goals, and placing participants into jobs that match their skills, interests, and career pathways. This position is responsible for addressing the wealth gap issue head-on by fostering the formation of investment clubs and training club members how to invest in the stock market. Institute students will also participate in Millionaires Club that introduces financial ideas and trains them in the practical money management skills of setting financial goals, positive bill-paying track records to build credit, budgeting, saving, and investing. The Job Coach / Financial Advisor will work closely with and report directly to the Urban Careers Institute Project Director, who oversees all aspects of the Urban Careers Institute. The Job Coach / Financial Advisor will also play a role in supporting and promoting the citywide Zilber Neighborhood Initiative and the Clarke Square Quality of Life Plan. In all instances the Job Coach / Financial Advisor must perform in accordance with and be committed to the Journey House mission and vision.
