Business Forum Offers Scholarships
The Business Forum is a professional businesswomen’s organization combining business development with self-improvement and civic involvement. Membership is open to career professionals or owners of established business enterprises.
The Business Forum is pleased to announce the opening of the 2010 Scholarship Application Process for The Business Forum.
Scholarship funds are available for women living in Dane County who currently attend or plan to attend college in Wisconsin. In its 21-year history, The Business Forum has awarded more than $280,000 in college aid to Wisconsin Women. Last year, $25,000 in scholarships ranging in size from $500 to $5,000, were awarded.
The Business Forum is a professional businesswomen’s organization combining business development with self-improvement and civic involvement. The scholarship applicant must:
- Be a female residing in Dane County who is planning to begin or continue her education in a 4-year, 2-year, adult-education extension curriculum, or technical or vocational program in Wisconsin;
- Be pursuing higher education in preparation for a professional, business, or entrepreneurial career;
- Have a record of academic performance balanced with community involvement, outside interests, and experiences; and
- Have demonstrated financial need.
The deadline is January 8, 2010. Since this is right after the winter break for most schools, we are distributing this application early so that you may help your qualified students coordinate their application.
