In the first installment of our new web cast series, Jared Bernstein, senior economic policy advisor to Vice President Joe Biden, talks to Spotlight about the White House Task Force on Middle Class Working Families and the Obama Administration’s efforts to increase economic opportunity for low-income families. Among the extensive set of topics discussed, Bernstein speaks about the real prospects for updating the federal poverty measure and how the Administration will ensure that low-income workers are able to access newly created “green” jobs.
