African World Festival

Mission

African World Festival is a 501©3. The organization’s mission is to promote and share the culture and heritage of all people of African descent with the global community. The festival offers an exciting weekend celebration of African American culture and heritage presented every summer on Milwaukee’s beautiful Maier Festival Park. For the past 27 years, the festival has fostered cultural pride and unity among nearly 50,000 annual attendees from local communities and across the country. From thumping African drums vibrating in the atmosphere, headlining entertainment, and themed pavilions to mouth watering delicacies, unique African art and fashions, and a children’s/youth area – African World Festival, the largest festival of its kind, has it all!
